Deck Builders in East Cobb, GA
At Peachtree Decks & Porches, most of what we get called for as deck builders in East Cobb comes down to three things: a deck that sits right on a sloped, wooded lot, a sunroom or screened porch that adds a real room to the back of the house, and the framing and roof underneath both that keep them standing for decades.

A Note From Greg
My name’s Greg DiBernardo and I own Peachtree Decks & Porches.
We’ve put more than a thousand outdoor projects in the ground around North Atlanta, and the ones I’m proudest of are the ones on hard lots that other builders talked the homeowner out of. If your back yard drops off, that’s usually where the good design is hiding.
Come see it in 3D at our Woodstock design center first. It’s a lot easier to say yes to something you’ve already walked through.
What a Sloped East Cobb Lot Changes
The homes off Johnson Ferry and along Sope Creek tend to sit up above a walk-out basement, with the yard falling into woods behind them. That’s a great reason to build up and reclaim it, and it changes a few things about the job.
- Elevated framing. A raised deck carries more load and more lateral force, so the posts, footings, and connections get sized for the height they carry.
- The space underneath. When a deck sits eight or ten feet up, the area below it becomes usable, and we can grade and drain it so it stays dry enough to use as a patio.
- Cobb County review. Because East Cobb is unincorporated, plans and inspections go through Cobb County, and we draw the permit set to what the county wants to see.

A Look at Our Work
Why the Roofline and Windows Matter
On an enclosure, the details you don’t notice are the ones doing the work. We tie a new sunroom or porch roof into your existing roofline so the water sheds the right way and the addition reads as part of the house, and EZE-Breeze panels let you swap screen for glass in seconds when the weather turns.
That’s the part that decides whether an East Cobb porch feels like a room or a lean-to five years on.

Bring Us the Slope Everyone Else Avoided
Call (770) 667-2650 or send us your details and we’ll come look at the slope everyone else avoided.
East Cobb never became its own city, but it’s held onto the wooded, settled feel that made people move here, from the trails along the Chattahoochee to the quiet streets off Roswell Road. Working as deck builders in East Cobb, we like putting decks and porches on these tree-lined lots because the finished space almost builds itself once the framing respects the slope. When you’re ready, Cobb County handles the permitting, and Explore Georgia is a good place to see what’s worth getting outside for around here.
